Our library boasts a wide array of electronic books, journals, magazines, videos, CDs, newspapers, and more, all accessible anytime and anywhere on campus. Moreover, we have curated numerous open access resources, ensuring easy access to valuable information in straightforward language for all users.

DSpace

The institutional repository at Ideal College, managed by the DSpace software developed jointly by MIT Libraries and Hewlett-Packard Labs, serves as a scholarly archive for the college community. This repository allows students and faculty to store their research papers, preprints, and other academic publications. Aligned with the principles of the Open Access movement, it supports self-archiving and ensures long-term preservation of scholarly work. While dspace@idealcollege is accessible to everyone, only members of the Ideal College community can submit documents to the archive. Additionally, a significant collection of past years’ question papers has been digitized and included in this repository. Access to resources in DSpace is available via the campus network for convenient use by students and faculty

DELNET (Developing Library Network)

DELNET, established to foster resource sharing among libraries, operates with the core mission of collecting, storing, and disseminating information while offering computerized services to users. It facilitates coordinated efforts in collection development and aims to minimize duplication of resources. DELNET has developed various Union Catalogues including books, periodicals, CDs, Indian specialists, and more, using advanced technologies like GIST for language publications. Ideal College Library proudly participates as a member among over 7000 libraries in DELNET. In addition to comprehensive resources such as Union Catalogues, DELNET provides access to a vast collection of e-books and e-journals. Members of the Ideal College academic community can utilize these electronic resources through usernames and passwords provided by the librarian.
