On 23 July 2024, the Ideal College for Advanced Studies proudly hosted the dual launch event for our latest magazine, Dilkasha and the insightful book, “The Post-Truth Era: Literature and Media.” The ceremony began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome speech from Mr. Mufasir Babu P, the Magazine Staff Editor. Prof. Koyakutty T.K, Principal, delivered an inspiring presidential address, underscoring the importance of literature and media in shaping societal narratives and highlighting the Palestinian cause. The magazine was then launched by the distinguished lyricist and Kerala State Award Winner, Mr. B.K. Harinarayanan, who handed the first copy to Mr. K.A. Majeed, the Founder Director of Ideal International Institute of Education.
The book “The Post-Truth Era: Literature and Media” was also unveiled by Mr. B.K. Harinarayanan, who presented the first copy to Prof. Koyakutty T.K. This book explores the complex relationship between literature and media in our contemporary world, offering readers a profound analysis of how truth is constructed and perceived. Mr. K.A. Majeed’s inaugural speech provided deep insights into the themes discussed in both the magazine and the book, encouraging the audience to critically engage with their content and reflect on their societal implications.
The event featured heartfelt felicitations from prominent faculty members, including Prof. Moideenkutty P, Vice Principal; Mr. Abhilash Sankar, Administrative Officer; Prof. Abdul Ali T, Head of the Department of English; Mr. Sudheesh S, Head of the Department of Computer Science; and Ms. Hanna Sulfikar, IQAC Coordinator. Their speeches recognized the hard work and dedication of the editorial teams and contributors. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mohammed Jaisal, the Student Editor, expressing gratitude to all participants for their support. The launch of the magazine, dedicated to the people of Palestine, and the book on the post-truth era, emphasized our college’s commitment to fostering critical thinking and social awareness.
