World food day celebration

ThePG Department of Commerce and Management Studies is organizing a Food Expo on October 16, 2024, at 10:30 am, as part of World Food Day celebrations. This year’s theme, “Better Life. Better Future” – Right Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future, aims to promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about nutritious food. Students will participate in a class-wise competition, showcasing innovative and traditional healthy food items, evaluated on nutritional value, presentation, and creativity. The event encourages food safety, hygiene, and sustainability, offering prize for Best Stall with Most Nutritious Food Item and Most Creative Display. All students are invited to join and celebrate World Food Day 2024.

Teachers' Day

In celebration of Teachers’ Day on September 5, the PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies at Ideal College for Advanced Studies, Kadakassery, organized a special event where final-year UG and PG students were given the chance to assume the role of teachers. A total of 10 students took up this opportunity and conducted lectures for first-year and second-year B.Com and BBA students.
 
This initiative allowed the student-teachers to showcase their academic abilities and develop their teaching skills. The topics presented were relevant to the curriculum, and the temporary teachers handled the sessions with confidence and enthusiasm, providing a valuable learning experience for both the lecturers and the audience.
 
In a heartwarming gesture, the first and second-year students warmly welcomed the student-teachers by offering sweets and tokens of love, showing their appreciation and respect for the efforts of their seniors.

INSPIRE 2024

The Department of Commerce and Management Studies launched the new academic year with the induction program ‘INSPIRE2024’ on September 6, 2024. The program began with a prayer . Ms. Rajitha P B (Asst. Professor, Dept. Commerce & Management Studies) addressed the gathering. The session was presided over by Ms. Saheena M(Assistant HOD, Dept. Commerce & Management Studies)and inaugurated by Prof. Koyakutty T K. (Principal) Mr. Abhilash Sankar(Administrative Officer) felicitated the session.Dr.Abbas Vattoli (HOD, Department of Commerce,Amal College For Advanced Studies,Nilambur.) led the session.The program was a resounding success, marking the beginning of a productive academic year. Session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms.Sivani(I BBA) expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, and students.

Induction Program

The department conducted two days induction program on 4th and 5th July 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm at seminar hall.) . The Technical session was handled by Mr. Badisha V (Asst. Professor TMG College, Tirur)on the topic “Prospects and Challenges of Commerce”. The next technical session was Department orientation session. and Mr. Yahkoob.K. (Asst. Professor PG Department of Commerce and Management studies) conducted the ‘Brain Storming’ Session. On the second day Prof. Koya Kutty T.K ( Principal, Ideal College for Advance Studies, Kadakassery) and Mr. Abhilash Sankar (Administrative officer, Ideal College for Advance Studies) explained the academic rules and regulations of Ideal Institution. It was very helpful for the students to understand the merits of studying here. Mr. Muhammed Shafi A (Department of Physical Education) presented a session on the topic” Health and Wellness.A “fresher’s party” was organized by the third and second year students to their juniors. . They organized many games and cultural programs.

FLASH

The relevance of incorporating changes has become highly essential to succeed in the field of competition. As a preparatory measure to address the situation, PG department of commerce has initiated a finishing school named ‘FLASH’ (Floor for Additional Skill Hunt). The program aims to ignite and enhance the skills and talents of students beyond their academic limitations.
The initiative was inaugurated by Prof. Moideenkutty Parayil (HOD of PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies) on 26th July 2019.additional session was conducted on 2.08.2019,24.09.2019,18.10.2019,28.10.2019 and 5.12.2019 on the topic leadership skills, interpersonal skills, improve the quality of public speaking, Capital Market Investment and achieve success by overcoming the challenges of life respectively.
